Location: Key West | Marathon | Islamorada | Key Largo | Big Pine & The Lower Keys

Key West

  • C.B. Harvey Rest Beach Park - Newly landscaped and designed, this beach is located on the Atlantic Ocean, near White Street Pier.

  • Smathers Beach - Located west of the airport on S. Roosevelt Boulevard, this is one of Key West’s longest beaches.

  • Clarence C. Higgs Memorial Beach - Also known as County Beach, located one half-mile west of Smathers Beach. Located near Reynolds and White Streets, the Higgs Memorial Beach features swimming and fishing areas, tennis courts, picnic areas and more.

  • South Beach - Small but enjoyable, this beach is located on the south end of Duval Street.

  • Dog Beach - Located at the end of Alberta Street, this beach is the only one in Key West that allows dogs.

  • Coco Plum Beach - Located at MM 54.5 off Coco Plum Drive, Coco Plum Beach is small, quiet and dog friendly. Clean-up baggies are provided to help keep the beach clean.

  • Key Colony Beach - Located at MM 54, Key Colony Beach offers a long swimming area, and restaurants and accommodations are conveniently located nearby.

  • The Beach Under Water - This sand bar is located several hundred yards off of Valhalla and Grassy Key, near Marathon. Only accessible by boat, the Beach Under Water is great for family parties because kids can play and snorkel safely in the shallow water.

  • Sombrero Beach - Located at MM 50, Sombrero Beach features white sand and deep swimming waters. A nearby park offers a kids’ playground, baseball field, picnic tables and restrooms.

  • Anne's Beach/Matecumbe Public Beach - Located at MM 73.5, at the southern end of Lower Matecumbe Key. This long stretch of beach area is terrific for jogging, sunbathing and shallow swimming.

  • Plantation Yacht Harbor - Located at MM 86, the Plantation Yacht Harbor features a beach, watersports rentals and full facilities.

  • Holiday Isles Resort - Located at MM 84.5, the Holiday Isles Resort beach and amenities are open to the public. Watersports, restrooms, a marina and a tiki bar make this beach a popular one.

  • Indian Key Beach - Located at MM 78, the Indian Key Beach offers a deep swimming area, but no facilities.

  • Long Key State Recreation Area - Located at MM 67.5, the Long Key recreation area features a beach, picnic area, fishing, camping and restrooms. Canoe rentals are available if you want to try your skill on the tidal lagoons.

Key Largo

  • John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park - Located at MM 102.5 Oceanside, Pennekamp is an active beach area, sporting a visitor's center, picnic area, campsites, beaches, bathrooms, showers and watercraft rentals.

  • Harry Harris County Park - Located at MM 92.5 Oceanside near Tavernier, The Harry Harris Park features a sandy beach and picnic areas.

Big Pine & The Lower Keys

  • Little Duck Key Beach - Located at MM 39, just past the Seven Mile Bridge. The Little Duck Key Beach area includes picnic shelters and restrooms.

  • National Key Deer Refuge - Located at MM 29-33 near Big Pine, the National Key Deer Refuge features more than just deer and nature. In addition to a beach area, the refuge features hiking, canoeing, kayaking, bike touring, saltwater fishing, bird watching and more.
